Place: Albayzín, Granada City
Price: 1.500.000,- €
Description:
A typical Albaycín "Carmen" house located in the best spot of Granada, facing south/south-east right in front of the Alhambra, just below the famous "Mirador" San Nicolás Square. 3 independent apartments, which can be connected together to form one big house.
First apartment, spacious terrace, entrance, kitchen, living room with big windows opening out to the Alhambra monument, chimney and typical brick built white plastered bookshelves. 2 bedrooms receiving light from the corridor, as they are built in the "mountain slope" (as happens with gipsy caves), bathroom and storing room. The left side of the house has serious roof damage and has to be redone.
From the first terrace you go down the stairs and come to the lower part where the other apartments are: 2 and 3 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room with a nice garden full of plants and (fruit) trees.
358 m2 total area, 253 m2 constructed area.
Pros: Premier location within the old Moorish Albayzín quarter of Granada City. Lots of good quality light. Spacious terraces with unbeatable panoramic views to the Sabika hill and the Alhambra Monument. You can drive up to the front door and even park there, a privilege for most of the houses in this "barrio". (neighbourhood)
Cons: Refurbishment is a must to get the house in top condition, there is a serious roof problem in a part of the top apartment. The price is also a negative point, it is indeed the best location of the entire Albayzín and Granada, but the price doesn't justify the quality of the construction.
