Description:
A lovely small farm holding comprising of two houses in perfect condition, one of them being new. The houses are unusual in the fact half of each house is built in a cave giving them a truly unique feel. There are 39 hectares of land, divided up in the following way: 13 hectares for almond trees, 3 for a vineyard, 15 for olive trees, 0.5 for fruit tress and the rest uncultivated.
House no 1.
This consists of: an enormous living room, with two fireplaces, a snooker table and a range of authentic period pieces that the owner is leaving behind. A good-sized kitchen with own chimney and separate pantry, five bedrooms that are situated in the cave part of the house. This has the advantage that the temperature remains constant throughout the year and does not get hot in the summer. There are three bathrooms, a large walk in wardrobe, a room for storing wood, and two other smaller rooms.
House no 2.
In this there are two living rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, four bedrooms, a pantry and has the installation for a central heating. Being new it presently lacks some of the charm of the first house, but with a little well thought out interior design it could be spectacular. Once again half of the house is built in a cave.
There are two garages of 97 sq metres and 33 sq metres respectively, the total area being capable of housing up to nine cars. The first garage is annexed to the second house and has remote control opening and closing,

There are two wine cellars in the grounds of the property, a wine press and all the equipment necessary to produce 11000 litres of wine a year from the vineyard (chauvignon vines). Near the wine cellars, on top of the wine press room, is an observation tower from which one can view the greater part of the land belonging to the property.

There are several farm buildings totalling 147 sq metres, with sufficient space to raise all different kind of animals and store the farm equipment.

The garden to the property, in front of the two houses, measures 2000 sq metres and contains a wonderful small pond, a pergola and several aviaries.
There is a well from which the crops are irrigated and a water tank/ swimming pool that holds 600,000 litres of water. There is a drip irrigation system installed for the vineyard and the olives with the possibility of extending this to the whole cultivated area. Also there is electric light, a telephone line and drinking water. These may seem like everyday items but many of the rural houses do not have them and they have to be installed at considerable expense.
Pros: This is a must see property for anyone looking for rural seclusion, old fashioned charm and/or a chance to run a smallholding. The two houses are next to each other and could be joined if desired.
Cons: It might be a lot of work to maintain the houses, the gardens and the land, although with the benefits of the cultivations, you can pay others to do that for you...
